How to Flatten a Rug

New rugs often arrive rolled and may have creases or curled edges. Here is how to flatten them: Reverse roll - Roll the rug in the opposite direction and leave for 24 hours. Heavy objects - Place furniture or heavy books on curled corners. Sun and heat - Lay the rug in direct sunlight for a few hours; warmth relaxes the fibres. Steam - Use a garment steamer on the back of the rug, then press flat. Rug gripper tape - Apply anti-curl tape to keep edges flat permanently.
